We offer a range of boarding options from basic board to full care thus allowing each owner to customize his or her boarding plan to fit individual needs and schedules. Feeding only high quality locally grown Costal Bermuda hay and top quality Nutrena SafeChoice feed, we make certain that all horses are healthy and in good body condition. On site owners are able to offer full time care and personal attention to all of our horses. Green Savannah Stables, Inc. is a family oriented barn. Our riders are all ages from children to adults. Many riders focus on trail riding while some enjoy English pleasure, western pleasure, or dressage training and showing. Green Savannah is not a high pressure show barn nor are we competing to be on the cover of Luxury Stables Magazine and our prices reflect that. However, keeping the horses happy and well cared for is our top priority and something that we take very seriously. We feel that your trail horse deserves the same top care as your 4th level dressage star. Our focus is on providing a positive atmosphere for horse owners to safely enjoy their horses and their time with other horsie friends.
All board packages include Nutrena SafeChoice feed and quality Coastal Bermuda hay fed twice daily. Horses are also provided fresh water several times daily. We also offer additional services such as stall cleaning and trimming/deworming services.
Please browse our facilities tab and our FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) tab for more information on the accommodations we offer to you and your horse.
We do offer full care premium boarding on a limited basis for those who need a full care option. Contact us for more information.

We will schedule regular farrier visits and assist the farrier with holding your horse for regular trims and pay the farrier at the time of service; We maintain a deworming schedule and will purchase dewormers and deworm your horse on a regular rotational basis.
Clients who do not take advantage of this service will need to meet the farrier to hold their horse and pay him at time of service. They will also need to select the twice yearly deworming from the veterinarian during Spring and Fall shots and show us the quarterly deworming they perform in Jan and July.
We will clean your stall and paddock 4 to 5 times weekly.
“Vacation” Stall Cleaning
“Vacation Cleaning” for stall and paddock 4 to 5 times for the week
“Stripping” a stall
If you get behind on stall cleaning, we offer a “one time” stripping of your stall and starting over with fresh shavings. We prefer for customers to simply request a weekly “vacation cleaning” if they see they are getting behind on stall cleaning before their stall gets in bad shape and needs this service. Stalls must be kept clean regularly. If we see that your stall is in bad shape, we will complete this task for you and bill you.
If you get behind on keeping your paddock clean for a few weeks, we can clean it back up for you and set it right. Paddocks must be kept clean regularly. If you do not keep your paddock clean, we will complete this task and bill you.
Reflooring a Stall
If your stall develops a hole in the “wet spot,” we can bring in clay to level up your stall.
This option is not always available. Please inquire.
“Vacation Turnout” is usually available for well-mannered horses. Please inquire.
We will administer a pill, pellet, or powder medication or supplement along with a small bit of feed so that it is eaten to your horse once daily
We allow fans from April through Sept. to run on a timer for up to 12 hours per day at low or medium setting
Regular Handling Fee
If you are unable to meet the farrier every 6 weeks or the vet or dentist during Spring and Fall shots, we can handle your horse for these services for this fee. (You must leave payment for farrier in advance and have a card on file with the vet.)
Emergency Handling Fee
If your horse has an emergency and needs the vet, we can assist with that and meet the vet for you. This cost is higher than our regular handling fee as it is unplanned and a more extensive time commitment.
Extra Trailer Parking
Extra trailer parking beyond the one trailer included in board packages can be purchased for $30 per month per trailer
Scheduling Spring and Fall Shots
We will schedule with SC Equine to come and do Spring shots in April and Fall shots in October. We schedule them for free and they will split the farm call for everyone. We can hold horses for clients who cannot attend these vet visits for $10 handling fee.
All horses at the farm must adhere to the facility’s shots rotation:
Spring: EWT/West Nile, Rabies, check teeth for dentals; optional-Flu Rhino and Deworming*
Fall: EWT/West Nile, Coggins test, check teeth for dentals; optional – Flu Rhino and Deworming*
*Clients not on our trim/deworm package must select the deworming option with the vet
Clients who do not participate in these vet visits must provide us with a detailed receipt for these shots from another vet during the month of April and October.
Lessons with Bobby or Kelly are $45 per hour for a private lesson. Please browse our Lessons tab for more information
As a courtesy to our boarders, we do occasionally invite outside specialty trainers to come to the barn to work with our riders. We encourage our boarders to contact us if they are interested in working with a specialty trainer.
Haul in/Arena Fee:
We require a $5 haul in/arena fee and a copy of a current coggins test for those who trailer in from other barns to ride at our facility for lessons, etc. Anyone interested in trailering in should contact Kelly at 803-464-7654 or email@example.com
*Blanketing Information: Most horses do not need to be blanketed at all in the winter here at Green Savannah due to our mild SC winters and their access to a stall to keep them dry and out of the wind. We find most of our horses to be quite comfortable all winter long with no blankets. Therefore, we do not offer blanketing services at this time.
*Fans: Fans are set on timers to run for 12 hours a day, 9am to 9pm. This provides the horses with a nice breeze during the heat of the day. Fans and cords must be out of reach of the horses.
*A Note about our Paddocks: If you select a paddock stall or a stall with an attached turnout run, it must be kept free of manure and shavings from the stall. If you are cleaning your own stall, this is your responsibility. If you select our stall cleaning option, we will do this for you. If you do not take care of this on a regular basis, we will ask you to step up to our stall cleaning package so that it can be consistently done.
A Note about our Pastures and Turnout System: We do not offer pasture only board. All of our horses have a stall to allow them to stay out of the elements during poor weather. We have several pastures that we use for turnout. All turnout is limited to 2 hours per horse per day. This allows horses to get out, run, stretch, kick, play, and socialize and then return to their stalls and paddocks so that another horse may be turned out to enjoy the pasture. Our 2 hour rotational system works well for our barn and our horses. We do not turnout in large groups to limit the possibility of injury to your horse. That is why our turnout time must stay limited to allow regular rotation. We do not rely on our pastures to provide grass as part of the horse's daily ration. We feed twice daily. Any grass provided on the pasture is intended to allow the horse to browse and munch while enjoying some time out each day. For those who feel their horse needs more time out or for those who cannot visit the barn regularly to turn their horse out, we offer regular board with attached runs as a boarding option for an increased price. Availability is limited.
