Green Savannah Stables, Inc. has been boarding horses for over 40 years. We began as a small, private barn and have grown the farm over the years to accommodate those who sought a quality home for their horses. We have been as large as a 40 horse operation in the past. However, we have more recently made the decision to limit our customer base to around 10-18 horses so we can better provide the individual care that we like to give to each horse and client.
Kelly Anderson (803) 464-7654 has taught children and adults from the very beginner levels to advance to proficient, life-long riders. A Sumter native, she has been riding since she was a child. She competed at both local and breed association shows throughout her high school and college years. She also traveled the Southeast camping with the horses and riding trails in NC, GA, TN, and SC. In college, she began breeding, raising, and training her own horses and pursued an interest in dressage. She quickly fell in love with the discipline and pursued advancement in this highly technical sport by working with several different instructors. Kelly has her Masters degree in Education and teaches full time at a local public high school and assists with stable management. Due to her increased responsibilities with her teaching career and management of the farm, she no longer keeps lesson horses available for a lesson program. She now only teaches lessons for those have their own horse to ride for the lesson. She enjoys working with all levels of riders and any discipline. She believes that all quality riding is founded in the basic principles of dressage and enjoys translating that into other disciplines and meeting riders and horses where they are. Her main focus is on helping to create strong partnerships between horse and rider and while emphasizing safety and enjoyment of the sport. She is available to travel to local farms for a small travel fee. (803) 464-7654
Bobby Anderson, President of Green Savannah Stables, Inc., has been riding since he was a child raised on a local farm. Bobby is a master trail rider and rides Walking Horses, which are horses bred to have a smooth riding gait. Bobby has spent his life riding trails across the Southeast. He is a retired career and technology school principal who spent his career in educational administration. He also runs a small landscaping business.
